What Don’t They Do?
Seriously, as if we haven’t already given LGO enough accolades…
Just next door to one of our favorite lunch spots, le grande orange, sits one of their sister restaurants, LGO pizza. From the couple friends i spoke to about lgo pizza, it came heavily recommended. Again, we must keep things in perspective here…this is NOT new york pizza as i know it. (nor philly pizza for that matter.) That being said, my mouth is watering looking at the photo of this pizza despite my very upset stomach at the moment. i ate this pizza once and have been craving it since. We split the gladiator pizza and a turkey cobb salad and it was the perfect lunch. As i walked back to our table with the pizza after hearing my name called i could see and hear people checking out my pizza, then realizing they had made a terrible terrible mistake by not ordering one themselves. I probably could have immediately turned around and resold the pizza to the lady at the table next to us for a nice profit. Local Schreiner’s sausage, pepperoni, cheese-blend and house-made tomato sauce, perfectly baked on a crispy thin crust. The sauce was a little sweet. The sausage a little salty. The cheese was creamy. The pepperoni a little spicy. The crunch of the crust. This pizza had all the bases covered. It was a little greasier than i would have liked it, but such is life. It’s not like i’m eating pizza every day. I’m still a big big fan of humble pie, and yet to have the patience to stick around at pizzeria bianco. I’m anxious to go back and try some of their other pizzas, but right now based solely on the gladiator alone I’ll place LGO pizza #2 just under humble pie.
Would i go back? Ummmm yes. Over and over again.

Wanna step into the ring with THIS gladiator??
