Bad To The…Just Bad

So it’s just about 3am and i can’t sleep. I find myself as usual daydreaming about food, so i figure i might as well do something productive and write about it. This was a meal we actually ate many many months ago, so while i don’t remember specifics, i remember enough to know this place wasn’t so great as it’s name would leave you to believe. Bad To The Bone BBQ. Really? Not so much. First of all this place was huge, too huge. And way too empty. This place just reeked of being a big cheesy, hokey chain restaurant. Nevertheless, it’s a BBQ restaurant, and i cannot say no to trying a new BBQ restaurant. They attempted the bad-ass bluesy roadhouse look and feel, and didn’t quite pull it off. The place just felt dead from the second we walked in…and judging by the service we got, our waiter might have been dead as well. He took way too long bring us our food and drinks, and thats if he even remembered what he was supposed to be bringing us. The place was nearly empty, there’s no way we should have been waiting anything. The food was edible, i’d still place it slightly higher than Scottsdale BBQ Co., which isnt really saying much. I’ve said it before…if you really want some quality BBQ done right by people who are passionate about smoking meats, there are so many other GOOD places to go to out here. 

Would i go back?  This place wasn’t bad to the bone, it was just bad. How about NO.
