Santa Came Early…

…And He Brought Bacon!

If santa eats too much of this indulgent treat he might get too obese too ever slide down a chimney again. I received this early christmas gift of chocolate covered bacon a couple days ago. i’d say it was a late chanukah present, but seeing as pork is a no-no in the jewish religion, i’ll blame this one on santa. a rather unusual and unexpected gift, but considering my love of bacon and love of all things sweet a very welcomed gift. some covered in milk chocolate, some covered in dark chocolate, but all equally delicious. it may sound odd, but i highly recommend giving it a try. it’s a contrast thing…the contrast in textures between the soft chocolate and the crisp, crunchy bacon. and of course the contrast in flavors between the sweet chocolate and the salty, smoky flavor of the bacon. i actually expected the bacon to be a lot saltier than it was, but the flavor of the bacon still comes through.
